Michael P. Lauer, CPA, CFE - Audit Manager
Michael’s expertise as an A & A Manager with RCHA encompasses various areas in auditing and accounting services. He has experience with non-profits, businesses, pensions, and SAS 70. He also has exceptional talent within the financial industry. Michael’s background as an Assistant Vice President with one of the country’s foremost regional banks allows for a great deal of insight in his approach to financial engagements. He expanded upon his diversity of experience by working for one of western New York’s largest regional accounting firms as a consultant to financial institutions in the commercial lending and asset based lending industries. Some of his key accomplishments include: the audit of hundreds of companies with revenues ranging from $5 mil to $1 billion, designed and implemented audit programs used by hundreds of bank examiners across the nation, and the authoring of an article entitled “General Ledger Review During Collateral Examinations” published in “Financier Worldwide” magazine.Michael earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.. In addition to his Pennsylvania C.P.A. license, he is also credentialed as a Certified Fraud Examiner.
Michael, father of three, is a member of his local Boy Scout Troop. In his spare time, he enjoys honing his skills on the guitar.
